All Comar AIS (Automatic Identification System) Receivers are Dual Channel Parallel AIS Receivers. They have two AIS receivers monitoring both AIS channels at the same time and decoding both channels simultaneously. Unlike many AIS receivers that claim to be dual channel the Comar receivers are true parallel AIS receivers, ensuring that you receive the most up to date positions and information of all vessels around you.
The Comar AIS Receivers enable boats sailing in busy shipping lanes or shore side monitoring stations to receive AIS information being transmitted from Class A transponders, as fitted to vessels over 300 tons and non-mandatory Class B transponders, fitted to small commercial and leisure craft.
